MARCH ISSUE
IN THE MARCH ISSUE
WESTFIELD ELEVEN DRIVEN
AUTOTUNE SPOTLIGHT Westfield has taken the amazing step of relaunching its first model, the MG Midget based Lotus Eleven replica. Aside from revisions for SVA, its exactly as it was 18 years ago, using the same jigs and moulds. A slightly sceptical Ian Stent got the job of driving it… and was soon won over by its classic charm.
MIDAS CORTEZ
BURTON DRIVEN Midas Cars has had a rocky past, but current owner Alternative Cars seems to have its feet on the ground. We catch up with the new management and get a drive of the 1.8-litre VVC powered Cortez.

Z-CARS MINI
THUNDER ROAD CARS Best known in kit car circles for its record-breaking Tiger Z100WR, Z-Cars has a number of bike-engined projects under its belt, including Smart cars, an Ultima and even a Bond Bug. But the Mini is Z-Cars’ first in-house kit offering. Ian Stent gets an exclusive preview.
OUR MARLIN 5EXi DRIVEN
Ian Stent drives our own Marlin 5EXi, along with two factory built examples. See how John Watson’s build, powered by a 1.8-litre Rover K-series VVC engine, compares with factory cars powered by standard 1.6- and 1.8-litre units. It’s a fascinating comparison.
AND THERE'S MORE...
Also in this issue, we have reader Pete Brown’s Spartan, our Pilgrim Sumo ands Marlin 5EXi project builds, loads of news and many regular columns.
